LEADTOOLS ePrint v.5 Released!Now with an Advanced Workstation Application for Document Manipulation

Charlotte, NC (July 20, 2006) - LEAD Technologies, Inc., today announces the release of version 5 of LEADTOOLS ePrint® award-winning file conversion software. Version 5 brings a new design, an updated, intuitive interface and a completely new document manipulation application, which adds several new features that will take file conversion to the next level.

LEADTOOLS ePrint, now called LEADTOOLS ePrint Professional, includes much more than the traditional printer driver/file converter found in previous versions. ePrint 5 has been re-designed to include an advanced Workstation application that gives you much more power and flexibility over your document(s). You can now open the ePrint Workstation from the desktop icon or print to it from any application, and choose to add annotations including stamps, highlights, shapes, lines, text boxes and more to your document. You can also insert pages, rearrange or cut pages from the print job(s) before converting, combine multiple files into one single file, as well as configure task printers.

Now with two ePrint printer modes you have more options than ever before. Just "print" from any application and choose either ePrint printer for fast and easy file conversion, or ePrint Workstation printer for more advanced document manipulation options. Additionally, you can open your file from within the ePrint Workstation and then convert it.

  • Set up task printers - Configure your own “printer” that performs a series of actions that you define. Use the Task Printers Manager to set up individual ePrint printers that perform routine tasks automatically, without having to manually repeat the steps each time.
  • Forms/stationery - add custom watermarks, headers and footers as well as form templates.
  • Combine multiple files with multiple file types into one single file, or save a multi-page file, with each page as a separate file.
• New E-mail option - You can now use your default e-mail program to access your default contact list(s).
• Updated ePrint printer interface/options:

  From the Save As box you can now choose among several options without leaving the screen (click here to see a screen shot):

  • Open the folder containing your file after saving
  • Append to queue
  • Route to other system printers
  • Send saved files via email
