Charlotte, NC (July 11, 2002) - - LEAD Technologies, Inc., a LEADing provider of imaging developer toolkits, announces the release of Version 2 of its award-winning ePrint multi-functional printer driver. LEADTOOLS ePrint installs and registers as a printer driver allowing it to be used by any application that supports printing. Unlike other printer drivers, which only output raster formats, ePrint can capture printed data in its original format and output to over 140 of LEADTOOLS' suppoted raster, vector or document formats. New features in version 2 include exapanded file format support, improved vector format support, improved DOC and PDF output, as well as a new screen capture utility.

• LEADTOOLS ePrint version 2 API adds a feature that lets developers completely bypass the ePrint User Interface (UI) and insert their own custom UI. They can also set Global Settings for LEADTOOLS ePrint programatically.
• LEADTOOLS ePrint version 2 includes a Screen Capture Explorer toolbar and stand-alone application utility. With this utility you can capture:
  • the entire screen
  • an active window
  • selected menu
  • menu under cursor
  • selected window object (button, tool bar, icon, or client area)
  • selected area (rectangle, ellipse, triangle, polygon or freehand)
  • wallpaper
  • mouse pointer
  • resources stored in EXE's and DLL's
  • Options include multi-capture, Hot Keys, and time interval.
• LEADTOOLS ePrint version 2 no longer requires an enabled COM port for installation.
